Privacy Policy

Last updated:

TecFac Business Services Group, Inc.

This Privacy Policy explains how TecFac Business Services Group (“TecFac,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information, including information collected for our Emergency Escalation Alerts text messaging program.

Information we collect

For the Emergency Escalation Alerts program, we collect the name and mobile phone number of staff who opt in, the date, time, and method of their SMS consent, and records of messages sent and replies received (such as STOP or HELP). We may also collect contact and business information you provide when using our website or services.

How we use information

We use mobile numbers collected for this program only to send after-hours emergency ticket escalation notifications from our HALO service desk system, to respond to HELP requests, to process opt-out requests, and to keep records of consent as required by law and carrier rules.

SMS and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that support the delivery of our messages, such as our SMS service provider and phone carriers, solely to send the messages you have requested. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

Apart from the SMS restrictions above, we share personal information only with service providers who help us operate our business (for example, hosting, IT, and communications providers) under obligations to protect it, or when required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We keep mobile numbers and consent records for as long as you participate in the program and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and compliance obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Your choices

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask to access, correct, or delete your information by calling us at (301) 960-0490 or writing to us at the address below. See our SMS Terms and Conditions for program details.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this page with the date it was last updated.
